Alex Frolov-Brian Boyle-Brandon Prust
Sean Avery-Erik Christensen-Todd White

Outlook: The Capitals don’t have to wait long to get back on the ice as they head to Manhattan to take on the Rangers and attempt to end their five-game skid.
Not much is known about the status of Mike Green and that will be updated closer to game time. Head coach Bruce Boudreau said after Saturday’s game that if the Capitals “have an effort like [Saturday] tomorrow, we might get rewarded for it.” Hopefully, that is the feeling in the locker room.
To do that, the Capitals will have to pick off a Rangers team that has struggled to hold leads and ties late (sound familiar?). Against Columbus Saturday, the game was tied at 1-1 before Rick Nash scored twice within the last six minutes to give the Blue Jackets a 3-1 win. Against the Ottawa Senators December 5, the game was also tied at 1-1 with less than five minutes left, but the Rangers gave up the go-ahead goal at 17:36 and an empty-net goal with one second left in a 3-1 loss.
New York is 6-8-1 at home and 2-6-0 against the Capitals at MSG since 2008-2009.
