(Minnesota lineup TBD)
Outlook: The Capitals played their first 60-minute game Wednesday in shutting down the Hurricanes and will try to win back-to-back games in Minnesota, where they have never won (0-4-1). The Wild are suffering from injuries to several key players as well. Winger Guillaume Latendresse is out, while fellow winger Chuck Kobasew’s status is uncertain. Niklas Backstrom will start in goal for Minnesota, meaning former Cap Jose Theodore will sit this one out.
The Wild’s power play is the NHL’s most efficient at 34.3%, but have been held scoreless in their last eight opportunities with the man advantage.
